VBC Regulation Guidebook

Official Rules & Regulations

The rules for every sanctioned VBC bout: equipment, fair play, scoring, result checks and streaming.

VBC is an independent community league. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the developer of The Thrill of the Fight 2.

1. Equipment & Hardware

Every fighter must use a setup that keeps tracking and physics consistent between opponents:

  • Approved VR Headsets: Any Meta Quest headset that runs The Thrill of the Fight 2 multiplayer. The approved list for each season is published with its fight card.
  • Connection: Keep your ping under 80 ms for the whole bout. A wired connection or Wi-Fi 6/6E is strongly recommended.
  • Play Space: At least 2 m × 2 m of clear room-scale space, with your headset’s boundary (Guardian) switched on.

2. Combat Mechanics & Fouls

Bouts are fought in The Thrill of the Fight 2 multiplayer mode, under these league rules:

  • No spam punching: Punches must be thrown with real extension and force. Rapid flailing, or any movement that exploits the game’s hit detection, is not allowed; the admins may deduct points or void a result where footage shows it.
  • Referee warnings: Obey in-game referee warnings at once (for example for clinching, low blows or collision exploits). Three referee warnings in one round cost one point, deducted by the league when the result is recorded.
  • Scoring & Knockdowns: Rounds are scored on the 10-point must system. Three knockdowns in one round end the bout by technical knockout (TKO).

3. Rating & Match Verification

Every competitive result is checked before it counts towards the rankings:

  • Rating screenshot: Upload a screenshot of your current multiplayer rating from your in-game profile.
  • Match proof: Both fighters submit the result and the match statistics (damage totals, rounds won, KOs). Tournament points are awarded once both submissions are in.

4. Spectator & Streaming Rules

Streaming policy: Fighters may stream their own point-of-view bouts. Anyone else broadcasting a sanctioned bout needs permission from the league admins before the match.
  • Broadcasters: Anyone streaming someone else’s bout must agree it with the league admins before the match, including any spectator slots.
  • Your own bouts: Fighters are welcome to stream their own point-of-view matches.
